Samsung Galaxy S26+ Battery life : Exynos 2600 an 'efficiency' success.

The Battery Life of S26 and S26+ has been a heated debate ever since the 'Unpacked' due to one key Part " EXYNOS 2600 ". But contrary to the popular beliefs and hate the reality is quite the opposite.

The S26+ (SM-S947B/N) one of us owns has been a positive surprise since day one. The battery life and endurance are nothing short of impressive, especially considering it has a relatively small 4,900 mAh (18.9–19.1 Wh) battery.

The battery life of this device has been consistent since the day it was first activated. It provides 10+ hours of screen-on time and lasts a full day of usage on dual 5G SIMs, with leftover 'fuel' in the tank.

Let’s admit it: the Exynos hate for the E2600 has been overblown by people who have not used it and never plan to. But let’s change the subject to something new: the power efficiency of this phone has been outstanding.

Exynos 5410 Modem

Previous generations of Exynos SoCs had one major complaint: modem efficiency. The older generations of Exynos modems suffered from increased battery consumption during 5G use compared to their Snapdragon counterparts.

But the newest generation, the Exynos 5410 modem, has fixed that. Not only is the modem more efficient during 5G, but the S26 Exynos variants now outperform S26 Snapdragon variants in real-life comparison tests.

They often stay ahead by 2% to 3%. At one point, the gap was 4%, with the Exynos variant at 71% and the Snapdragon variant at 67%.

Now for the multitasking endurance portion: this phone has been a wonder. It handled a 5G WhatsApp video call while simultaneously running live streams and scrolling TikTok for over three hours. Despite this, it didn't overheat and still lasted the entire day.

For the past few days, we have been seeing lots of artificial and rigged tests where the E2600 has been painted in a negative light. It turns out the reality is quite different from the fearmongering.

Now Onto the gaming perfomance.

The gaming performance of the S26+ is very strong. It outperforms its Ultra counterpart in core thermals, stability, and FPS. In Witcher 3 emulation, the Exynos 2600 in the S26 offers 30% more FPS ( 102 FPS ) than its predecessor the S25 ( 79 FPS ) , while staying 60° Celsius cooler.

In the end, reality is often different from the common narrative. I am delighted to inform you that the LSI engineers have turned a new leaf; they have significantly improved the stability, efficiency, and thermals of the Exynos 2600 compared to its predecessor, the Exynos 2500. Alongside the SoC, the Exynos modem inside the S26 has also seen substantial improvements.

My verdict: the Exynos 2600 stands out as the best chip ever created.

Bonus point: Exynos 2600 is the only chip outside of Google tensor to support native Linux terminal.
